Palmetto Trail @ Riverfront Park

The Palmetto Trail Begins!

I love walking the dogs—Fred and Dixie. I love being outdoors and seeing nature in all its finery.  So I decided I would challenge myself to a new adventure.  I’d travel the Palmetto Trail by foot or bicycle, with dogs, family, or friends.

We (Ben, Fred, and Dixie were with me) started our journey at the Riverfront Park at the Water Treatment Plant in Columbia along the old Columbia Canal.  As soon as we got there, Ben said he had to use the restroom.  So off we went toward the Congaree River/Canal.
